Suggestion to devs: Support multiple weapon sets in templates
Hello.
If this has been suggested before, which I would have thought it have been, then sorry for the extra thread. But given that the search function of the forums wouldn't allow me to make a search (No permissions) and giving a glance to the currently indexed suggestions in http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=84455
didn't bring up any matches, I would at the very least like to give my support for this feature in Guild Wars.
As an active PvP player I strongly feel that there is a need for the inventory templates to be extended to support loading and saving multiple weapons sets (F1, F2, F3...) for PvP and PvE.
I myself personally, practically always have at least two different weapon sets to switch between. And as such have found it inconvenient while I can nicely load up my set otherwise, I always have to take the time to craft one more more weapon sets to the alternative slots still from scratch. This system has certainly made things much easier for us and is appreciated, but it would indeed be much more convenient to be able to load all of the sets directly as well, considering different weapon sets like a high energy or a low energy set are after all an important and often used tool in PvP.
No special changes would have to be made to how the players load and save the templates, the only thing that would be changed that saving a template would include all four, or just the slots with something in them. And in turn loading a template would create all such weapon sets accordingly. Thus it would work as it always has, with the exception that we would get more functionality out of it.
So if you feel that this would be a useful addition to Guild Wars or have comments to add, kindly do so or even just post a /signed so we can keep this thread up where the developers will see it.

This is how I originally thought it would work, but then found out that it only save one set. So this change would be great and much more convenience!

True indeed, I feel that pretty muchly every class would gain from the feature to be extended so. Casters, melee, rangers and what not all employ different weapon sets for different situations.

I made this suggestion a week or two after the inclusion of templates in the game and the thread died with only a few responses. I wonder whether I had a misleading title on it.
At any rate, I wholeheartedly support this suggestion and perhaps would even go as far as to say the move could include the entire inventory of a PvP character?
It's something that would greatly improve the template system and I'd love to see it happen.
